Oltmans Foundation
At Oltmans Construction Co., we are a group of passionate, hardworking, and caring men and women. Formally established as a non-profit organization in 2000 by J.O. Oltmans II, The Oltmans Foundation provides support and opportunities for us to better serve and strengthen the communities in which we work and live.
Our Story & Purpose
The Oltmans Foundation brings together a collective group of like-minded partners (Oltmans employees, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers) to support local organizations. These organizations have historically been selected by the Oltmans family and included charities and projects that reflect the values inspired by our founder, J.O. Oltmans and his family over 90 years ago. We take on projects that best “puts our skills to use.” Naturally, many of our charitable projects include building structures, renovations, and site improvements.
Areas of Outreach
Charity Partners
Olive Crest
For more than 40 years, Olive Crest has dedicated its services to the prevention and treatment of child abuse. They serve nearly 3,000 children and families each day.
The Olive Crest classroom building project in Riverside County was Oltmans Construction’s first major charitable involvement and launched the inception of the Oltmans Foundation. Throughout the years, Oltmans has offered construction services to the Olive Crest Kids Ranch in Perris, which houses and provides care to abused and neglected children.
In 2020, the Oltmans Foundation assisted with a water leak repair, waterproofing, and site paving at the Olive Crest Academy in Garden Grove, CA.
Orange County Rescue Mission
Orange County Rescue Mission’s goal is to minister the love of Jesus Christ to the least, the last, and the lost of our community through the provision of assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, health care, and independent living communities. The Oltmans Foundation has been greatly involved with the Rescue Mission since the construction of the Village of Hope campus in 2002 and the Tustin Veterans Outpost Expansion Project in 2020.
In 2022, Oltmans Construction and our subcontractor partners join forces, once again, to tackle kitchen and dining room improvements at the Double R Ranch Project in Silverado, CA (formerly St. Michael’s Abbey). OCRM will use the facility for education, housing, and faith-based activities.
Thomas House Family Shelter
Thomas House is a rent-free shelter for homeless families with children. Since 2019, Oltmans Construction Co. has had an ongoing partnership with the organization to assist with updating several units in a two-bedroom apartment for the community located in Garden Grove. Through this program homeless families with children are given the necessary resources and support with the goal of transitioning into permanent housing at the end of their 12-month stay.
