The project’s scope involved a complete gut and reconstruction of the interior and exterior of three (3), 2-story apartment buildings located on Newport Avenue in Tustin, CA.
Interior Work: For each of the 12-units, the interior work included demolition of existing and removal of asbestos materials, drywall, patching, and painting. All new doors, cabinets, flooring, granite counter tops, forced air units, plumbing fixtures, electrical panel replacement, electrical fixtures, and tiled bathrooms.
Building Exterior Work: The exterior work involved stucco rework, all new roofs, new exterior paint, new decks, new garage doors, handrails, stair treads, lighting and cameras.
Site Work: In addition, the project involved all new flatwork, landscaping, water fountain, built in barbeques, trash enclosures, gates and pavers.
Growing the Veterans Outpost from two buildings to five will allow an additional 45 veterans to benefit from housing and Rescue Mission support. The entire cost of labor, supplies and materials for the project was donated by the Oltmans Foundation along with its subcontractors and vendors. Oltmans has been a proud sponsor of the Orange County Rescue Mission since our involvement with their Village of Hope project in 2002.
